This reading site is published by A&A Publishing and Marketing on behalf of David Alan Armstrong. This page explains, plainly, what is measured while you read and what is not.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the readings are used: which pages are opened, how long a page is read, roughly where in the world a reader is (country and region, not a street), and what kind of device and browser was used. If you arrived from a link somewhere else, we see the site you came from.

Google Analytics places small files called cookies on your device, named _ga and _ga_T2194F344F. They hold a random identifier so that a return visit is not counted twice. They do not hold your name.

We do not ask for your name or email to read. There is no account and no payment on this site. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google signals is switched off, so no advertising features are active: no advertising profile is built, no remarketing audience is created, and nothing about you is sold or shared with advertisers. Analytics data is kept for two months and then deleted.

The reading companion is provided by Voiceflow. If you open it and type to it, your messages are sent to Voiceflow's service in order to answer you. Please do not put anything into it that you would not want stored. If you never open it, it sends nothing.

The typefaces on these pages are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google when a page loads.

You can stop this measurement at any time, and reading is unaffected either way.

Install Google's own opt-out extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit, not only this one. Or block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings. Or simply read in a private window, where nothing is kept once you close it.
